The Innov-Elections Project is implemented through 4 main strands of activities:
a) ECES Live Coaching Trainings and delivery of remote training support and delivering of hybrid training via the Zoom platform
b) Enrollment in the MEPA and/or specific MEPA modules
c) Translation of MEPA modules in Portuguese and uploading on the MEPA platform
d) Supporting the Digitalisation of the Electoral Processes
Phase I: National Level
The first selected pilot countries identified by the Italian Cooperation in Africa are:
Burkina Faso, Senegal, Niger, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Mozambique, Nigeria, Mali.
Phase II: Regional Level
The selected African regional and sub-regional organisations and secretariats of networks of Electoral Management Bodies in Africa include:
The Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD)
The ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC), RESAO in French and Portuguese)
The Electoral Commissions Forum of SADC countries (ECF-SADC)
The Election Observation and Assistance of the East African Community (EAC)
